Initiating Flux Cumulus node
Initiating Flux Cumulus node
Step 1 of Flux CUMULUS Node Setup
We will go ahead and initiate this step early on since it takes 100 Flux blockchain confirmations before we can activate the FluxNode and this, in turn, can take 3-4 hours currently.
1. Open your ZelCore wallet and make sure it is fully updated.
2. Navigate to your portfolios and pick a portfolio in which you would like to have your collateral Flux wallet for your FluxNode. This can be any wallet as long as it's not the one that's the source of funds you will be sending Flux from for staking. In this case, we'll pick the Retirement wallet by clicking on it. You can rename it if you wish to something more descriptive such as Nodes by navigating to See More Wallets > Edit Wallet. Specify the desired name and Save.
3. Navigate to the portfolio with funds, and send exactly 1,000 FLUX to the Nodes portfolio
4. Navigate to Apps > FluxNodes and you should see an entry under My FluxNodes with CUMULUS tier. The Status will be showing OFFLINE
Your FluxNode is now being confirmed on the blockchain so we now move on to
Step 2 of Creating a Bootable Ubuntu USB Flash Drive
